Biography
Tony Lionni is one of the most exciting newcomers of 2008. Fusing the subtlety of Detroit Techno with an
overwhelming euphoria. As a recording artist he is a newcomer but has already made a name releasing
on labels like Mule, Versatile, Wavetec, Figure & Aesthetic Audio.
As a DJ he has been well-respected in
Manchester's underground club scene for quite some time. He grew up in Liverpool, listening to the Soul,
Disco and Funk records of his father. Being down with a crew from Manchesters neighborhood Old Trafford
called The Rebels In Effect, Hip Hop shaped his future musical direction. Up to now he has deejayed at
almost all relevant clubs in Manchester & around the world. Spinning rare groove, techno and deep house
records, Lionni's profound knowledge of the history of black music makes his techno tracks so striking
and soulful.
